FLASH TUTORIALS
This will link you to an reasonably extensive video tutorial outlining the basic functions of Adobe Flash.
And these links will take you step by step through various important functions of Flash.
FLASH ASSIGNMENTS
1. Create a drawing in Flash and transform it into a symbol. The drawing must be coloured and reasonably detailed (not too crazy though). This drawing/symbol may be used in the second animation project below so you may want to consider the criteria for that project before you choose a subject for your drawing.
2. Create an animation in which a drawn element travels across a background using tweens. Should be 10 seconds long. Object should be something that could move without necessarily changing shape such as an airplane, car, football etc.
3. Create an animation in which you build, change and deconstruct drawings frame by frame using primarily the duplicate frame function and the drawing and painting tools. The subject is up to you. There is no need for it to make sense and feel free to make this animation abstract. The animation should be at least 20 seconds long. It should start and end with a blank screen. Bonus challenge: add a soundtrack to the animation.
4. Create a walking running or flying sequence using sprites. You may use sprites from templates provided below or find your own resource. The subject should move naturally across a self-generated background and the animation should last at least 5 seconds.
alternatively: create your own drawings in or out of flash to use.
alternatively: create your own drawings in or out of flash to use.
5. Create a frame by frame animation using sprites. The animation must be 30 seconds long, include an interaction between 2 characters and include a changing background.
6. Create a frame by frame animation of a character using your own drawings, created either in flash or elsewhere. The animation must include a movement of a body part (such as a wave) and a change in facial expression.
